Kochi /Thattekad / Munnar
This 4-day package takes you from the urban clutter to the scenic beauty of the hill station that you must have craved at least once in a lifetime. The trip starts from Kochi, the urban beauty blended with the natural charm. On the first day of the journey, you will be taken to Thattekad. Thattekad is one of the spectacular destinations in Kerala. The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is a popular attraction of this place. It's the first bird sanctuary in Kerala. It is a piece of paradise with a great species, and thus it offers a fantastic glimpse of beautiful birds. A perfect heaven for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts. On the second day of the trip, you will be taken to Munnar which stands with its misty climate and breathtaking scenic views. After sightseeing Munnar, the next day the journey continues to Vagamon via Thekkady. On the fourth day, you will be driven back to Kochi.
Day 1- Kochi to Thattekad
Arrival at Kochi Internaational Airport /Railway station drive to Thattekad check-in at the homestay,Thattekad Bird Sanctuary is located to the north of the Periyar River, at the foot of the mighty Western Ghats. The best time to visit the sanctuary is between October and March, Thattekad Bird Sanctuary is Kerala’s very first bird sanctuary. In 1983, the 25-sqkm area in Thattekad was declared a sanctuary. Earlier, in the same year, the legendary ‘Bird Man of India’ Dr. Salim Ali had surveyed Thattekkad, and called it the richest bird habitat he had ever seen. There are 284 species of birds that have been recorded at the sanctuary.Habitat diversity and topographical position of the area is the main reason to make it bird rich. 322 species of birds including long distance migratory ones comprise the avifaunal world of Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary.Overnight at home stay.
Day 2- Thattekad -Munnar
After breakfast drive to Munnar is such a beautiful place in Kerala, which cannot be portrayed in a single canvas. Everything and anything here will make us excited. The hills, the mist, the valleys, the streams, the waterfalls, tea plantations, rare flora and fauna on arrival check-in to the hotel sightseeing of Munnar. Places of interest-Tea museum .Overnight at the hotel
Day 3- Thekkady -Vagamon
After breakfast sightseeing of Munnar Places of Interest :Eravikulam National Park, Mattupatty Dam, Kundala lake ,Echo point etc. .Overnight stay at hotel
Day 4- Departure
After breakfast drive to Kochi drop at Kochi International Airport /Railway station for your onward journey
