The trip starts from Kochi heading to Kumbalanghi. Kumbalanghi is a small, beautiful village surrounded by backwaters. Kumbalanghi being one of the suburbs of Kochi is the first fisheries and model tourism village in India. As you reach Kumbalangi, you will be transferred to 'Sherly's Ente Kumbalangi' homestay. You can relax for a while tasting the tender coconut and watching and joining in different activities of the village like dehusking the coconut, coir yarn making, weaving coconut leaves, making ornaments and brooms from coconut leaves. You can also enjoy the sights of fishing with a line from our pond and casting of the net (Vala Veeshal), Chinese fishing nets, fish groping, fishing net making, etc. You can taste the Keralite delicacies for lunch. In the evening you will be taken back to Kochi.
Ernakulam to Kumbalanghi
"Kumbalangi"The first model fisheries and tourism village of India which is locted at Kochi and surrounded by backwaters. Chinese Fishing Nets cover the island and the village boasts of rich aquatic life. An array of mangroves separate land from water and provide for a good breeding ground for prawns, crabs, oysters and small fish.
Arrival at Kumbalanghi Jetty you will be welcome and transfer to a home stay "Sherly's Ente Kumbalanghi" in a big country boat (provided with chairs and caps) on arrival you will be received with tender coconut later relax and watch different interesting activities -
